Email Scam: Payment initiated

Two customers called because they received emails from an individual attempting to process a large payment to them. Scammers use tactics like these to get people to reply to their email and putting their computers at risk.

If it seems too good to be true; it is.

Social security scam; threatening an arrest warrant

We have received a number of calls from customers who have been targeted for a popular scam where they are threatened to lose their social security benefits.

Scammers are telling victims there is a warrant for their arrest, as their blood has been discovered in a crime scene out of state, and if they don’t pay a fine with a money order, they will lose their social security benefits.

This scam is not new to the Social Security Administration as they offer guidance on their website about this scam and how to report it.
